Karen Titchener (CF 2016) has been nominated by the Scottish Parliament to become Scotland’s first Patient Safety Commissioner, with the appointment due to begin on 1 September 2025.
Karen brings extensive UK and international experience in acute care at home, most recently serving as Vice President of Hospital at Home Operation in the USA. Her background in developing safe, high-performing home-based acute and oncology care models positions her strongly to champion patient safety and the voice of patients across Scotland’s health system.
Paul Ricci has joined UCL Public Policy as a Policy Fellow to continue work aligned with his Fellowship, identifying international interventions to protect young people from antisocial behaviour and violence.
