Churchill Fellowship launches three new programmes
We’re excited to announce the launch of three brand-new Churchill Fellowship programmes – opening for applications on 2 September 2025. Each offers a unique opportunity to explore global ideas and bring fresh thinking to the UK on some of the biggest issues we face today.
Whether you’re an unpaid carer, creative practitioner, community organiser, or policy innovator, these programmes are designed to support changemakers who want to influence real and lasting change:
💛 Building a society that cares
How can we create a more compassionate and supportive society? This programme is for anyone working to reimagine how care – in its broadest sense – is delivered across the UK. We welcome applications from unpaid carers, people in frontline roles, as well as those in sectors not traditionally associated with care, such as justice, housing, or education.
💼 Building prosperous and resilient economies
If you're helping to shape fairer, more inclusive local economies – especially in areas that have experienced long-term disadvantage – this programme is for you. We're looking for ideas that build economic strength from the ground up and have the potential to grow.
🎨 Making space for the arts
This programme supports creative individuals who want to bring bold, inclusive artistic experiences into public spaces. Whether you work with communities, produce public events, or design spaces for creative expression, we want to hear how you’re using the arts to connect people and reimagine the world around us.
These new programmes sit alongside our existing programmes and our open option for projects outside this range.
Applications for all three programmes open on 2 September. Sign up for application alerts below and find out how a Churchill Fellowship could help take your ideas further.
