Grants of up to £30,000 for Churchill Fellows

We are delighted to announce that applications for our Activate Fund are opening for a third round of grants today (19 January). This fund is exclusively for Churchill Fellows and supports the impact that they can make in their communities and sectors across the UK.

The Activate Fund offers one-off grants of £10,000 - £30,000 for Fellows to implement the findings of their Fellowships. The aim of the Fund is to support Fellows in the crucial period after their research, when they are turning their ideas into action. Fellows are eligible to apply within 10 years of their award. This year Fellows from 2012-2020 are eligible.

This is the third round of the Fund, which is a pilot project developed in consultation with Fellows. To date it has provided over £620,000 in grants to 28 Fellows working on crucial issues facing UK society – from supporting children’s mental health to domestic abuse prevention.

Grants Manager Katie Baldock said: “The Activate Fund supports the inspirational work that Churchill Fellows are doing in the UK. We are pleased to offer a third round of funding to support their life-changing projects and look forward to following their progress.”

We are particularly interested in applications that are:

  • Bold, ambitious or innovative.
  • Filling a crucial gap in the field and/or serving unmet needs.

Applications can be submitted online from 19 January until 5pm on 24 February 2022 and grants will be awarded in July 2022.

All eligible Fellows are emailed when the Fund opens for application, with a personalised link to the online application form. If you believe you are eligible and have not received a link, please email us on office@churchillfellowship.org.
