Sophia Alexandra Hall (CF 2023) spoke at #MediaStrong, a journalism conference hosted at City University, in front of 200 newsroom leaders.
Sophia discussed her Churchill Fellowship research, which focused on developing toolkits for journalists working with care-experienced individuals and for care-experienced individuals interacting with the media. Drawing from her unique background as both a journalist and a former interviewee, she provided insights into the experiences of care-experienced individuals in media settings.
She also recently helped the John Schofield Trust create Journalism Cares, a new mentorship for aspiring reporters from a care background.
