Lucy Vincent (CF 2023), Chief Executive of Food Behind Bars, was recently featured in an interview on The Public Sector Catering website.
In the interview, she discussed her charity’s mission to enhance nutritional knowledge and skills among offenders and support prison catering teams. Lucy reflected on the significant link between diet and behaviour, emphasising how good food can transform lives in prison.
She also shared insights from her Churchill Fellowship experience, where she learned from prison systems in Denmark, Finland, and Sweden, noting the positive impact of self-catering on rehabilitation and lower reoffending rates.
