Helping ‘left behind’ children to learn
By Alison Broady,
David Stanley (CF 2019) recently returned from a trip to Milan, where his Music Man Project Global Ambassadors performed a joint concert with the Italian charity Allegro Moderato. This event marked the first international collaboration between two disability music charities from different countries and represents the initial step toward an International Alliance of Accessible Music, a global network of SEND music providers. David reflects on his experience in his blog, noting the deep connection he felt with Allegro Moderato, akin to his previous experience with Daniel’s Music Foundation in New York during his Fellowship.
In addition, David is featured in a new book on leadership, The Silent Rebellion: Becoming a Modern Leader, published this month, where his work and leadership approach are discussed on pages 33-36.
Lastly, his term as UK Disability and Access Ambassador for Arts and Culture has been extended by six months. He looks forward to continuing to support the new government in this voluntary and non-political role.
