Biography
I am an advanced clinical practitioner based on the Isles of Scilly, leading digital-enabled care, workforce training and service transformation, creating a test-bed for healthcare innovation.
My Fellowship focuses on exploring integrated rural health and social care models that blend digital innovation, co-located services and new workforce approaches to build more resilient, sustainable and person-centred care systems. I plan to visit New Zealand, Australia and Canada. I am passionate about ensuring that people in rural, coastal and island communities receive the same quality of healthcare as those in urban areas. I am also working on a concept called PIXAR underpinning imaging service delivery for this population.
I hope to bring back proven solutions that can be adapted for Cornwall and other rural regions across the UK. My ultimate goal is to help shape national health strategies so that rural healthcare becomes more accessible, efficient and empowering for both patients and clinicians. I believe that by supporting versatile, digitally connected teams and integrated care models, we can create a system that truly leaves no one behind.
