Biography

I am a strategic design leader and work in the industrial design and engineering industry helping businesses design, develop and take products to market. My Fellowship focuses on a critical stage of the development cycle - manufacturing.

The UK manufacturing industry has been known as an innovative and passionate place, contributing massively to our economy and culture. However, technology is moving fast. I believe many businesses are vastly underprepared and under-supported in embracing new technologies such as artificial intelligence.

I am deeply aware that our industry relies heavily on human and material resources in the production of physical products. The integration of new technologies holds huge potential to positively impact employees (people) and address sustainability concerns (planet), while balancing business aspirations (profit), if approached responsibly.

Through my Fellowship I seek to understand the current barriers to adoption in the UK and discover how our overseas counterparts are already using this technology. I intend to create a framework on the integration of these technologies with both empathy and responsibility and to share it with businesses.
