Biography

I am the Founder and CEO of Luminary Bakery, a London social enterprise supporting the UK's most disadvantaged women to reach their potential by providing training, employment and community. Social enterprise in the UK is relatively new, whereas there are models across the world that have extensive history that we can learn from. My career in this field began in Bangkok, Thailand.

My Fellowship involves researching best practice from social enterprise across the world – those who are working to address unemployment among disadvantaged communities, with a focus on female unemployment.

In November 2019 I visited five projects in Cape Town, South Africa and came back to the UK inspired with ideas to implement in Luminary's work. Further phases of my Fellowship involve travel to New York, Los Angeles and Nashville.
