I am CEO and Founder of Social Founders, the global network that connects and supports founders of social impact organisations, including impact media platforms. Previously I was Founder & CEO of the Media Trust, the UK's leading communications charity, and of the UK broadcast TV channel Together TV (The Community Channel), a charitable Community Benefit Society. I’m an Entrepreneur in Residence at INSEAD, and a governor of the East London NHS Foundation Trust.
I’m passionate about media for social change, and my Fellowship was to research social impact media, in the USA, India and Sri Lanka, to strengthen both finance and governance of impact media in the UK, and enable both existing and new social impact media platforms to thrive and flourish.
Please do sign up to the Social Founders newsletter to hear about inspirational founders, including those working in impact media (www.socialfounder.org).
I'm highlighting founders of social impact media platforms around the world, and running events and seminars based on my learnings. I'm also building a network of people working in the field of impact media, including the 50 impact media leaders I visited during my Fellowship – so do contact me if you are interested in this area.
My Fellowship was a unique and amazing opportunity – I can't thank the Fellowship enough, and hope you enjoy reading my report.
