Every time I learn something new about Guernsey's maritime heritage it amazes me and leaves me wondering 'who else knows this?' So much of our rich and diverse maritime history is already lost, or at the very least hidden.

I intend to visit places where that 'saving' work is underway and meet the people who are giving their maritime heritage a living relevance. With the knowledge gained from my Fellowship I plan to revive and share the craft of building Guernsey's traditional boats and allow young and old to experience the thrill of sailing such wooden craft. Furthermore, I hope to establish a maritime heritage festival for islanders and visitors alike to share in the experience and the history of our islands.
